About Carnoustie

Although only 12 miles from Dundee and an hour away from St Andrews, Carnoustie retains a remote, timeless feel that is such an engaging feature of a town home to one of Britain’s finest links layouts.

Carnoustie Golf Hotel offers extensive facilities including 95 luxury en suite bedrooms and ten suites with amazing views over the Championship course, the sea and the local town of Carnoustie. Extensive spa and health facilities include a large heated swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room and for the more energetic a fully equipped gymnasium.

While staying at the Hotel you can follow in the footsteps of some of history’s greatest golfers and test yourself to a challenging round on the notably inspiring Carnoustie Championship golf course.

Many bedrooms have views over the Open Championship golf course or Carnoustie Bay.

The newly refurbished Calders Bistro offers delicious fare, much of it from local Scottish produce, ideal for a pre or post round meal.

Championship

Nicklaus’ PGA Centenary Course, formerly known as the Monarch’s Course, is certainly the big brother. And quite a bruising one at that.

Burnside

The Burnside oozes character and from the back tees is a splendid test of golf. The Burnside oozes character and from the back tees is a splendid test of golf.

Buddon

The Carnoustie Buddon Course opened for play as an 18 hole course back in 1981 when Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss designed the original course on former Ministry of Defence land.
